Anything but Average
A respected image consultant once said that the average person who wears a bow tie is distrusted by all. What all bow tie wearers know is that an average person would never be don a bow tie in the first place.

Bow Logic
The best of bow ties worn by the best of men. Carrot & Gibbs creates neckwear for today's fashion maverick of polite society who may mingle with the masses, but by virtue of his bow, will never, thank Heaven, stoop to be a member.
"I wear bow ties because they're ageless, individual, and never double as a bib."
— Charles Countryman, Martha's Vineyard, MA
Carrot & Gibbs was founded in 1987 by Neil Borin, a long time friend and supporter of Gian Marco, who knows his bows. "There are quite a few rules about bow tie wearing that simply go without saying; a bit like a secret handshake between aficionados. And every man who ties his own bow tie knowingly goes about breaking each of them."
Carrot & Gibbs bow ties are individually created from the finest especially selected Italian 100% silk fabrics, predominately woven and printed. Each tie is individually cut, sewn and pressed by hand. They are imported from Boulder, Colorado. And rather than a metal clasp at the back, you will find mother-of-pearl buttons, which can be used for both adjustment and attachment if required. The best, of course.
The same attention to detail can be found in every Carrot & Gibbs hand-rolled pocket square, cummerbund set, and waistcoats as well as formal shirts made under their auspices. Even the Carrot & Gibbs "pre-tied" bow, a style shunned by bow tie purists, is the same fine bow tie, that we tie to perfection on the client while he is in the store, then tacked with but a single thread. We like to refer to that as "a bow tie with training wheels" waiting for the wearer to have his "AH-HA moment" and one day cut the thread, setting himself free.
Gian Marco is proud to be associated with this small piece of cloth with its 400-year heritage. The bow tie inspires a staunch loyalty that can only be understood by those independent thinkers who look into the mirror, tie their bows, and go forth as proud members of this civilized minority.
